The boat was smaller than I thought but the smaller the closer to the wildlife. The skipper Tony, his fellow and a friendly boat dog Scruffy. What a great team! This small-group tour gave us a more comfortable and enjoyable experience. Highly recommended. Tip: You may need to allow enough time to get to Akaroa. Might take time to find parking near the main wharf during the peak season. Better use the public toilet before getting on the boat. Tour duration: about 2.5 hrs.

First of all, my family and I just want to say thank you to Tony for looking after us. We had the most wonderful experience on the boat tour. This was our first time seeing dolphins and seals up close! Tony is a very knowledgeable man too! Highly recommend! Cannot wait to tell all our friends. :)

Absolutely brilliant. An amazing trip out on Wednesday with my 2 sons who are 7 and 13.5 years old. Thanks for a superb afternoon. Highly recommended.

This was honestly one of the best days I've spent travelling in NZ in the last two years, myself my boyfriend and 3 friends all went on the morning cruise from Akaroa, apart from the fact we were blessed with exceptional weather the boat seemed to be a wildlife magnet. Everywhere I looked there were Hectors dolphins, sea birds, jellyfish, krill, seals, we even thought we briefly spotted a penguin. Tony the skipper is a legend, so knowledgeable and fun, introducing us to everything we laid our eyes on, with a good knowledge of history, geology and wildlife, you won't be disappointed. The boat is small enough to be able to get up really close to the exceptional coastline once you leave the bay and it is truly magical. Thanks for a great day Tony, we will treasure that forever.

We took a trip with Tony in November and it was one of the high points of our 2 week stay in NZ. Highlights: Hector dolphins playing & racing under our boat, fur seals basking on rocks, catching fish, pulling a lobster trap and exploring caves! Tony was very knowledgeable about everything to do with the water and Akaroa. We also learned so much about NZ culture and history. I highly recommend the trip!

We had a great experience on a fishing charter trip with Tony last weekend. He was a great host and very knowledgeable about the area, wildlife & fishing. Would definitely go again! Thanks!

Fantastic place to visit surrounded by such beautiful scenery, the sea and the mountains in perfect harmony. Driving through the mountains as you approach Akaroa you will be amazed at the scenery so make sure you stop at the various viewing points to take some wonderful photos. In the small town you will find plenty of cafés and shops. On the wharf you can book boat tours, hire canoes or just go swimming in the beautiful clear blue waters. A really nice place to visit if you are in New Zealand South Island.

Tony and his deputy made this trip unforgettable for the whole family. Even after years you can see his passion for the animals around. Absolutely recommended
