I joined the loop tour as I am a keen mountain biker and having never been on a Ebike before I was unsure what to expect. My expectations were greatly exceeded! We started off gently with a scenic ride around the sea shore, and before you knew it we were tearing up the trails in no time at turbo speed -literally! ANYONE can ride a Ebike, I was amazed how effortlessly riding the bike seemed even up steep hillsides. We covered terrain I would never usually attempt on a standard bike with ease, from the sea shore to the top of the mountain and gliding down a fun gravel road through farmland. The views were incredible, we had plenty of rest and photo stops along the way and we even witnessed newborn lambs being born! Expertly guided and a great way to spend a morning in Akaroa. Highly recommend!

We wanted to try out ebikes at Akaroa because of the stunning views from the top of the hills looking down on the beautiful harbour. It was a well organised fantastic tour with an amazing guide called Grev, and a highlight of our cruise excursions so far. Highly recommend for any age and ability.
