What a great place to stay it was great to park the car and walk everywhere. Our room was on the 2nd floor it was clean and tidy, the bed was comfortable. Plenty of places to sit around the property to watch the water activities. You can also hire kayaks and push bikes.

We spent two nights at Akaroa Waterfront Motels. There are actually two separate Motels (or buildings) so make sure you know which one you are booking. The room we booked was the motel facing 90degrees away from the harbour (reduced view of the harbour) where as the second building has 180degree horizontal views of the harbour (much better as each unit looks directly out over the harbour). Anyways, this motel must be the coolest motel in Akaroa. Plenty of benches to soak up the harbour view. BBQ available. Spacious units. 3.5-4 star. Laid back atmosphere. Definitely would recommend.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The staff are friendly and the rooms are clean, comfortable and spacious. Thoughtful touches included. The waterfront is gorgeous and there's plenty to do at the motel like outdoor games, kayak hire and lovely outdoor seating. Centrally located with restaurants and shops within walking distance. Would absolutely stay here again.
Lovely clean apartment that had everything we needed. The staff were friendly and helpful and recommended us a place to have dinner which was also fantastic. We only stayed one night but I would have happily stayed more
Beautiful relaxing place to stay my goodness the views of the lake were gorgeous just a couple feet away from our unit.Our studio unit was lovely an warm an quiet considering it was close to the driveway, beds were super comfortable had 2 nights of great sleeps.Thank you will definitely stay again when come to visit family in Akoroa.
We stayed here over show weekend and loved it. The unit was beautiful and clean. The staff were friendly and the view was amazing!! It was great for the kids having the grass area and even better we could park the boat there. We will be back
