It was so lovely to know more about this cuties and be close to them. Lydia (the guide girl) is such a lovely person and a great artist! Tip: You can buy her drawings at the store. We were able to pet them, feed them and even be close to little baby alpacas!!! It's a little bit costly (international student speaking) but a must in Akaroa and ChCh area. Pleased to share the afternoon with Austin, Ecuador, Harley Quinn, and the little Amelie! Hopefully the new baby will be called Colombia

Beautiful location. Very informative and fun tour with our Guide "I". He answered all our questions and was very patient as we had our son with us. Highly recommend going here. There is also a lovely shop where you can buy authentic products and they give you tea and biscuits after the tour. It was a lot of fun to interact with the Alpacas. 5 stars!
Lovely experience for the kids. Bit pricey but didn't mind because of Covid and want to support smaller businesses. Gave us very a memorable experience. Staff super friendly and clearly loved there job. Thank you

Wonderful experience with the Alpacas. We were so impressed with the tour guide and how much knowledge she had. And she knew all the Alpacas by name and there temperaments! My son could of stayed all day giving them cuddles Highly recommend!

You would need a car to get to Shamarra Alpacas. Farm Tour took about an hour. Hospitality was great! We had some simple drinks & home-made Anzac cookies after the tour!! Farm Tour includes entry into 2 paddocks filled with ALPACAS!! Tour also includes generous portion of grass feed for the Alpacas. You can get beautiful pictures with the Alpacas!! BEST DAY EVER!!
