Albany WOF 2020 Ltd is a new business from November 2020, with new owners, so previous google reviews don’t apply to us. Unable to get google to remove them as we are in the same location as the previous WOF business.

The people working at Albany WOF Centre do not know what they are talking about. They failed me on my motorbike tail light for not being visible on an 80 angle. I showed the guy the diagram from NZTA website (attached) and he wasn't interested in discussing it. He was taking the 90 then 80 angle from the back seat....!? Even though it shows the markers going to the indicators?? Waste of time, waste of money and idiots to deal with. Don't bother going here. I have filed a complaint to NZTA with further photos and attachments for them to investigate into what's going on at this WOF business.

My sincere apologies for my previous bad review, without really considering the facts this place is running by a bunch of genuine and friendly peoples Few Things you need to Keep in mind 1-They are a WOF centre, not a mechanic garage, so they don't do repairs. 2- They will inspect your vehicle with genuine intentions, 3- once they pass the WOF you can assure that the car is roadworthy 4- you don't have to book an appointment to get the WOF 5 - it's affordable some garage recommends you to do unwanted or expensive repairs or replacements to gain extra work and money as this place it just a WOF centre they don't achieve anything extra. my SUV failed the first time because it's needed a tie road replacement once I get it repaired by a mechanic they pass it straight away I HIGHLY RECOMMEND ALBANY WOF CENTRE TO GET YOUR WOF MANY THANKS Krishna

As a young man with a modified car WOF time is always a bad time of year. Fortunately Albany WOF centre were friendly and fair, my car failed on actual issues, the inspector(s) clearly knew the law and the re-inspection was conducted quickly. It can be very difficult to find a decent and fair place to take your car for a WOF, however I will definitely be returning with my other vehicles. Thanks

Edit, reply to owner: I most definitely do not have the wrong place. I checked on Google maps, this is the place I turned up to and was told this information. Asked the man about whether I could drive if my car failed the wof. He lied and said no I'd have to get it fixed that day and come straight back and driving it around would be illegal. I have since found out, having got my wof done somewhere else, that this is not the case and there is a 28 day period to fix it.
