Excellent stay. Awesome scenery 360 degrees. Service is great & staff are fantastic. Clean, comfy & concenient. NEVER STAY in Aoraki Court coz the owner & staff are BLATANTLY RUDE RACISTS.
It's pretty user-friendly place with kitchen where you can cook your own food. Book it via their own website though. It's much cheaper than via agents like booking.com etc.
We got a room upstairs, view was great. Beds were fine for the night. The walls are VERY thin.. if I didn’t know better I would have thought I was having a mange a trois with the French couple next door.

I've stayed here before 2 times and love it. Nice staff, cozy lounge, very good kitchen and a sauna, all in a beautiful location like mt cook. This time I booked a double room but had to cancel because my girlfriend had already booked another place. My reservation was non refundable but YHA was so understanding of the circumstances that they let me cancel for free. Big love to Richard, legend! - Tom and Soffi
Hostle and host Eric (hope writing name with right spell) was awesome. I enjoyed my stay at the hostel with my husband, I have been to so many hostel but never seen a hygiene like this one. 5 star location. I even saw stars when woke just like that form sleep. Bed room had a small window with a beautiful look out in the sky. Eric is very friendly loved talking to her. Value for money and perfect for budget travelers.
