This was a good store but too small. It needed a bigger space to handle the stock items. Pity it's being closed best of luck to the staff.

Always receive near terrible customer service at Bunnings Ashburton. Staff either don't approach you or have absolutely no knowledge of anything if they do. Today I went to look at lights. Was standing there for 10 minutes at least before going to seek advice from someone. There were three staff at the end of the isle, all talking. When I asked one of the ladies for help with the lights she directed me to another of the women who, seemingly irritated, paused her conversation with the other lady and asked me "what?". When asking about the lights they had on display she proceeded to tell me they were pretty much all unavailable and they just hadn't been able to switch out the display models or hadn't yet taken down the tags. Very helpful. Always have experiences like this at Bunnings and really wish they would put more effort into hiring or training decent staff. More than happy to shop at a competitor just to avoid the shoddy service at Bunnings.
Nola in the plants department was extremely helpful. Helped find a good solution for our fruit trees. Clean and tidy shop. Other members were helpful with finding other items we required. Nice healthful staff smiles on all their faces all happy too help
Prices are good. Location is large and many parks available. Some of the staff were more than happy to help and were polite, others didn't seemed to not want to be there at all. Relatively good flower selection, OK prices, no ornaments. Aisles were clearly marked and when ask the staff knew where there products were which is a great help.
Nice variety of products. It's a shame that store is closing down in Ashburton

Love visiting here - bought a gorgeous potted tree - cheaper and healthier than anywhere else I've seen them. Other good bargains to be had.
