There is a wonderful walk around the foreshore at Athenree with little wharfs, yachts bobbing on the water, mature trees to shelter from the sun under, lush grass to lie on and bird life a plenty to watch and childrens playgrounds. A boat ramp to launch your lighter boats at when the tide is in and also to have a swim in the sea. If you want a hot swim then their are the Athenree Pools opposite the boat ramp. Definitely a little gem of a place.
