This cafe has a sensational location, but the food does not match the location. I had "eggs benny" that where cold - cold plate, cold holandaise, cold bacon... just not good. The flat white coffee was weak and milky despite asking for a double shot.

The worst service I have ever had. 2 hours to serve my order. 40 minutes for 1 coke! Apologizes were 1 beer for a group of 7 people. I dont recommend that restaurant. There are more in this zone.
Can't believe the negative reviews I have just read before placing mine. I visited this restaurant last week and I have to say the food and service were fantastic. They have clearly had the place done up recently which has been done well. The setting is lovely, wish I lived on waiheke as I'd definitely visit more often!

Speedy service, tender calamari, great value and even a water bowl for the dogs. FABULOUS!

4th Avenue Restaurant is all new. The service is fantastic and the food excellent in it's price bracket. True beach bistro style with a great setting looking over Onetangi Beach. Disregard the old reviews and get along there. Onetangi local.
