Really poor experience. Attached lock that I had tried to get help with that took several months to get exchanged. Because the owner was not interested. Said it was installed wrong but was not interested in seeing it. Surprisingly given he installs them? And we were happy to pay to have it looked at. As can be seen in my photo. There is no handle and the lock didn't extend out. This was with over drilled hole sizing too. To allow for timber expansion when wet due to being an outside lock. Owner eventually changed it out as the manufacturer had sent out a replacement but not without major debates about how badly I installed it. The funny part is he would know because he would not come and see it installed. The new one works as it should with no change to set up. Straight in the existing holes. Therefore, could not have been installed wrong!! When I took this lock back I asked the owner to open it up to see if anything was stuck in it. The interesting find was that the inside mechanism had gouged out the inside of the casing. There was also a rivet in the mechanism that was extended into the mechanism that was getting polished by movement. Both these things combined could have created a friction issue in my opinion and I wanted it checked as it was no good. The owner claims there was timber in the lock too. Having been there when it was opened up there was nothing remarkable in this regard. I was very surprised when the owner advised he has now filled it full of grease and installed it into some other poor person's place and claims it works. But for hiw long is the question? Very strange behavour when it should have gone back to the manufacturer with a please explain on the obvious visual issues.

The difference with Keith is that he cares, and the after-sales service is second to none. You might pay less at the big chains but you'll be left wanting if you need any troubleshooting or after-sales service. Highly recommend and will keep shopping here.
Hmm... so far not impressed. Bought a very expensive Brog lock 1100 on Keith's recommendation for purpose from photos I provided for his expert assessment and his recommendation currently has been poor. Firstly the lock appeared to be faulty out of box. Tried to get Keith to help and so far it's been all my fault because I installed it based on Keith's recommendations to do so I did follow the manufacturers instructions to the letter. However, its still not resolved. Have had to wait until he moved into these premises. Have had the excuse, I will come and see it in ten days. Have had bring it in but no one was there.. Have had enough follow up and guess what.., still have a faulty lock. Two months on, each time it's been an excuse of there is always something more important happening other than the customer. But don't mind me or my time. It's a good thing I am very patient. Hopefully this week we might have an answer or our money back because it's not fit for purpose. Currently I feel that an 80-120 lock from Mitre 10 or Bunnings would likley have worked out of box and if it didn't would have had miles better support. For a special marine lock in the two months it's been installed in the inner city there is alot of oxidation happening too around the keys and fixing screws they provide for purpose. This is a concern given its supposedly designed for marine environments. The fact we are inland from the sea about 4kms is probably a good thing for the warranty whatever that actually is from Borg.
