Pretty shocking service! On hold on the phone for 2hours just for them to say they cant help actually dont want to help! Exports team rocks tho! Imports need to check their processes!

Dont answer phones, dont know the next steps. Spent days at AK Air NZ Cargo. Yesterday was there 3 hours. My gear had been left outside, boxes were wet, Damaged, compressed. Record player thrown back in upside down, all boxes were upside down , even though there were right side up stickers. In Australia ground handling staff placed more stickers the right way up, in NZ they left the boxes outside in the rain upside down. Tried to tell me this happened in Australia. Been no rain in Australia though. Ive used Air NZ freight 10 years ago from Welly to Syd. No worries. Air NZ cargo in AK is yet another NZ business operated by Indians. Charge alot, ruin things, Slow, dont care. Shouldnt be in business, let alone working under Air NZ. I will not fly air nz even because of this. To ship my things from Oz involved 600kms of driving, rental cars, plane tickets, freight costs from Sydney. I worked out it would be cheaper and safer to fly over to to Oz a few times, pay extra baggage and bring the stuff with me. NEVER use these guys. AIR nz Cargo had Queues out the door with 1 person serving people. Took 1.5 hours to reach the counter. This is a joke. Its not India, why am i paying NZ prices for Indian service. Charges in NZ were 400 for this great service. All the good reviews here are their friends. Not one customer was happy in the Q's at Air NZ Cargo. Stick to Dairys, corner shops. Stop allowing these guys to buy NZ businesses. Theyre ruining NZ.

Was recently in and out of Air NZ Cargo over a dozen times in an effort to get my motocycle through the gate. Let me tell you, this whole process of importing goods is the singlemost convoluted and frustratingly complex procedure I have ever gone tgrough. Staff at the Cargo desk, while helpful and friendly, were not aware of the next steps, or the bigger picture in terms of inspections, customs, brokerage, and so on. While they tried to be helpful this whole process was a complete nightmare requiring my partner and I to literally spend the entire day at Air NZ Cargo for several days in a row. Grounds crew were very friendly and helpful. Once the vehicle was brought to the compliance center, the compliance center notified us that a critical border (structural) inspection which should have been completed when thr vehicle landed in the country was not done. This meant that a private inspector for border inspections needed to be engaged resulting in additional delays and costs. He entire process of importing a vehicle is so incredibly convoluted with nobody actually knowing all of the proper steps. I recommend you think twice before importing goods requirring inspection or compliance certifiction. The whole system here in NZ is a complete disaster.
