Great ice cream, substantial size? I will never find out; Anijas was closed despite signs and web telling me differently. Sunny Sunday afternoon, prime-time for people strolling in the city and desperate for a treat, but Anijas is following their own rules. Closed again like many others reviews have stated. Better go to somewhere else where the hospitality business is taken seriously.

New ice cream place in time for summer. They have a range of different fruit ice creams which they make to order. They have a range of different fruits that they can use as well as combinations of them. I had the mango one and it was a bit disappointing as it didn't really taste of mango and it made the ice cream a bit icy. The other fruit flavours were ok though.
Drove past around 4:30pm on a Sunday afternoon and the place looked shut so continued home. Double checked the opening hours and it said it was open till 6pm so I called the number listed and the person that picked up assured it it was open, and serving till 6pm. We drove all the way back and got there around 5pm, and it was shut with no one in sight. Pretty disappointing Edit: looking through the other reviews it seems like this is quite a common thing to occur - buyer beware
Funnily enough I’m not a fan of ice cream, however, these fresh fruit ice creams are absolutely ON! I always get the passionfruit one (they come in a waffle cone) for 5! Staff are lovely, ample parking & outdoor seating for whenever these lockdowns allow for it. Go try it out don’t listen to these other muppets that say otherwise
This place is great but it's never open
We found this place on Google Maps after our little wander up Mount Eden (it's super close by car). The location is super unassuming and there isn't much else going on the side street BUT this place makes the best fresh fruit ice cream I have ever had!! They use a super nice NZ (award winning) ice cream and then mix in the fresh fruit there and then. They will also make up a large tub of ice cream to whatever you would like to take home! Finally the staff are super friendly, very chilled and don't mind having a good chat about the ice cream and how it works. GO GO GO!!!

Service: good, Fresh Fruit Ice-cream: a softee ice-cream with a distant mango taste! Can sit on chairs on the pavement and see 'life' passing by!! Went there again and ordered for a fresh blueberry flavoured ice-cream cone. This time I wasn't disappointed with the flavour! Next time, a Mega Sundae with a pie from next door.
