The Auckland Art Gallery is truly great. With not only an incredible display on at the moment but also a cafe you can enjoy art with a nice hot cup of coffee. The cafe overlooks a large room which contains at least three different pieces one of which is the ceiling. The art gallery is also close to a lot of great cafes and restaurants such as “Scarecrow” and many others. The art gallery is also close to the university nearby.

The Auckland art gallery is an absolute must see if the city. Home to works of art from all around Aotearoa - New Zealand. The gallery is arranged over three levels and has a cafe in the middle. Story telling through art is a main theme and gives the viewer a sense of New Zealand culture both indigenous and colonial a visit to the Auckland art Gallery is a must you will not be disappointed.

Just recently saw an exhibition that's currently on, and it was stunning. Also been here for the life drawing sessions, which have been a treat. It's a beautifully built building too. Very enjoyable experiences.

The entire gallery except for 1 room is Maori art. With few exceptions it is basic and/or boring. The 1 room with old masters is hit and miss, but there are several good pieces. Many people were engaging with this art. Very few were engaging with the Maori art. The whole place has a PC/woke vibe. When I went there on Saturday there appeared to be a crazy person giving some sort of demonstration. He was loudly ranting a whole lot of nonsense. It was quite annoying when trying to contemplate the art. The place is way overstaffed with a lot of guides standing around playing with their phones. Paid for by our rates no doubt. The cafe is excellent and the building is very nice - a lot nicer than much of the art it has to be said.

Had an amazing atmospheric Maori contemplating art exhibit. I liked the infinity mirrors. Also had a figure drawing session, enjoyed that

These photos I captured on 4.04.3021. This was my third visit to view the ToiTuToiOrā exhibition at the Auckland Art Gallery. It’s absolutely stunning with very talented New Zealand Maori Artists on display So much see and soak up as I like to take my time to enjoy all the art. I highly rate this exhibition with free admission to all.
