Called on the weekend to see if they're open to which he answered and told me no , only during the week. So at this point it would be quite helpful to advise me that is it by appointment instead of me travelling 20minutes out of my away to find out noone is there at 11am on a Wednesday in Auckland. Just horrible as it is not written anywhere.

Great numismatic shop that I would recommend for anyone interested in British and Commonwealth coins. The prices are fare as well as the selection. One note though better to schedule an appointment in advance and provide a list of needed coins.

Have known Howard Mitchell for over 40 years now and in this time we have conducted a great deal of business together . His honesty and integrity is without question and second to none . Check out his Trade Me feedback (curio) which is impeccable . Happy to recommend Howard if you are looking for a fair and honest assessment of your coins/banknotes/medals/tokens etc .

Not ideal, appearantly they only take customers by appointment only, like how does this business model even work in a country the population of New Zealand? The customer service is not great either. The owner treat customers like a nuisance.
