I had two of my wisdom teeth out here recently and it was literally a painless experience of which mercifully I have no memory. The staff are very caring and what to expect before, during and after was clearly communicated. Only downside is that it can be tough to get hold of them. It took ages with lots of messages left and lots of chasing up for my dentist's referral to result in an initial appointment.

I had an underbite that affected my smile, my ability to say particular words/letters, jaw opening and closing, eating and my general appearance. I had double jaw surgery in July 2020, had braces removed last month and am happy with the results. There was pain (to be expected) and I happened to be that annoying 1% person who had other issues, but the way in which John and his team handled it and helped me through recovery was exceptional. They were empathetic and understanding even when I was having a hard time with other issues. I came out of surgery with feeling, so much so I could drink from a straw the next day. I would happily recommend John and his team to anyone considering similar surgery. Thank you.

I am a wimp when it comes to dental AND just as much with needles. I was feeling quite traumatised before I even got to the Clinic, however, I now have a new view of dental procedures! My experience was almost relaxing! The counter staff are friendly and professional, the Surgeon was out on his own and his support crew were awesome. I felt comfortable, well looked after and had no stress at all throughout the entire procedure which is definitely saying something for me!!! I highly recommend this place.

I had 3 of my wisdom teeth taken out by Cameron Lewis. I can not recommend this place enough! Everyone was warm and friendly. The receptionists were especially kind, and comforted me while I was in the waiting area (I was very nervous before having surgery). The surgery was a breeze! They wrapped me up in a blanket and put me in a big comfy chair after. They also let me snooze for a little bit till I was ok to go home. I have made a really fast recovery too! No issues at all. I couldn't be happier with my experience at Auckland Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Group.

Definitely would not recommend this surgery. Very poor communication and service and that’s even before a consultation. I have been waiting months to be contacted for an initial appointment for 2 dental implants. I’ve contacted them several times by phone and email, sent through my dental records & X-rays and still nothing! To be honest I have no confidence in this outfit at all. They seem incapable of getting the simple things right, like booking an appointment. I would be very concerned for any follow up or post surgical issues with this poor example from the beginning. It’s far too much money and trust to give an organisation that clearly doesn’t care.

I had jaw surgery with John Harrison the outcome was devastating. I have the same problems I had before surgery plus several more including a uncomfortable overclosing of my mandible due to my posterior maxilla being significantly impacted. The problems are constantly on my mind because it feels wrong very uncomfortable and looks messed up. John has provided little support post surgery and he has not apologized or acknowledged his mistakes dispite ample evidence of the problems i was left with. John did what he could to protect his reputation even though fronting up would likely have cost him nothing i believe his ego got in the way. I believe John is a capable maxillofacial surgeon but he was out of his depth with my particular type of surgery carried in 2013. I hope he took the opportunity to learn from the mistakes made on me.

Auckland Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon Group... They are all about making money. They take jobs on making so many promise's, once they Perform the surgery they wanna get you out of that door in a blink of an eye. Before the surgery you're treated like a King n once gotten the funds, and surgery done and without much explained you are out of there. Surgeon's say one thing and receptionist another. Reports given totally different to what was said. Have spoken to many other patience who have had the exact same experience. Will surely have lots to say about Auckland Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Group on overseas Media.

Recently had my wisdom tooth and a broken tooth removed . The whole process from the start to end went so smooth. I was bit nervous of the whole procedure but once the doctor ( Dr. John Harrison) explained the whole process I was very much relaxed. Pretty much no pain.
