Awesome club - teach karate from basic fundamentals to advanced levels within atmosphere of friendliness, mutual respect and support focusing on karate techniques as well as on development of endurance, spirit of achievement and ability to focus on what is important. Very highly recommend.

I have been training here for about a year and a half now. I cannot recommend this club enough, all of the instructors are very dedicated and give great advice. The classes are good for all around fitness, and I have also learned some useful self-defense as well. Very family friendly. The first few classes I attended were a free trial which was great, so I would definitely recommend coming along and giving it a go!

I have been training with Auckland Seido for the last 12 years. Fantastic club and people to-boot. I tried other styles in the past but this one is the best for me and my family. If you are looking to join a karate club please give this one a try.

I love training here! I've trained since I was a kid and now my kids train here... it is an absolute all round family environment... it is more than a sports club, it is a family

OSU! Auckland Seido Karate is a great club. I've been training there now for four years along with two other family members. The instructors are truly awesome - committed to the Seido philosophy and to providing a safe and supportive environment in which to train and grow. The central location is a real plus and there is plenty of parking. I highly recommend ASKC to anyone thinking about giving karate a go!

Trained with Sensei Roger for a year and a half. I'm glad they don't sell themselves on self defence because 90% of what you learn is useless for that e.g. kata, formal blocks/strikes to the air, silly formal stances, yelling and kumite. The whole thing is designed to give the illusion that people are learning something powerful and make the students feel confident. When you finally start sparring at green belt you cannot hit the head or legs and all the formal strikes and blocks you've learned are useless so the whole thing feels silly. It's a good place if you want to meet people and get fit. Learning how to kick is the only useful part. If self defence is your goal I'd recommend jiu jitsu. You will learn humility and probably start wrestling with a live partner on day one.
