I usually get my WOF and service of my car(almost once every six months) done from either AA or VTNZ. Because my WOF had expired recently and couldn't get appointment with AA or VTNZ, I looked for someone for my WOF online and found Auto services Newmarket. I took an appointment and left the car at their premises and was told that I will receive a call from the reception in a couple of hours. I received a call from reception and was told that the WOF of the car was rejected for the following reasons 1. Headlight focussing. 2. Handbrake excessive travel 3. Wipers 4. Steering play left. I was advised that the WOF inspection has failed and was advised on the phone that the cost for repair would amount to 200 for headlights, 200 for hand brakes, 15 for the wipers and approximately 1000(minimum cost) for rectifying the steering problem. Because I had got serviced from AA recently, I felt something was fishy. I then took an appointment with AA for the following week and took my car to AA Auto centre in Newmarket. There I was given WOF for my vehicle with no fault/defects/malfunctions found within 2 hours. There was just a WOF note saying there could be issues relating to back tyres forming age cracks which might need looking into by next WOF which surprisingly was not mentioned in Auto Services Newmarket's WOF inspection report. I have attached both the inspection report of Auto Service Newmarket (11th sep Friday) and AA auto centre (15th sep Tuesday) . I feel that this is negligence on the part of Auto Services Newmarket. I believe I am entitled to get my refund back for the unwarranted failed WOF for a perfectly well maintained car. I am yet to get a reply to my email(Sent 2 days ago) requesting for an explanation as to why my car's WOF was declined for no reason and was advised to sign up repairs amounting to almost 1500 for a car that is regularly serviced and maintained well.

I had my WOF done and auto transmission completed today and let me tell you - the service was genuinely the BEST service I've had. Jeremy and Matthew are incredibly professional, kind and the customer service is top notch! And I do not mean that lightly. They told me exactly what was wrong with my auto transmission (OIL LEAK YIKES) and Jeremy said that 'whoever did my last auto transmission didn't do a good job because oil was leaking everywhere. The screws are on too tightly and it's leaking.' (Bear in mind that I got it replaced not too long ago by another place). Jeremy encouraged me to call the other company and ask for a compensation (AT THE VERY LEAST). Called up the other company and JEREMY WAS RIGHT!! The other company ended up paying for the whole auto transmission fix! (would've been an extra 250 - 300 if I had not called them). The team fixed everything and now my car is running smoother than ever! Also if I may add, the team was incredibly FAST and ACCURATE! 100% the best people to go to for either a QUICK WOF at 50ish dollars (BEATS VTNZ) or a great FAST YET ACCURATE auto transmission fix up. I'm so incredibly happy with the service, I will be back next year for my WOF. I 100% recommend them!! Thank you again to the beautiful team & Matthew & Jeremy!!! - Lisa at 12-12:30PM today :)
