One of the best food we've had in a long time. Not just tasty, but quality and preparation was spot on. The service was fast and very nice and the prices are below what I was expecting. I'd definitely recommend this place!

A few years ago I had a good experience with this place. Last night, there was a sign saying it was "steak night". When we tried to order it, we were told that it was "not available" even though the sign said it was. I had the "Vegetable Stack". Parts of it tasted really good. Others had a distinct taste of burned food. When we ordered a shot along with a dessert dish, it took several attempts to explain to them what they recommended in their menu (some port wine). Then one staff member went through several bottles on the shelves behind the bar reading the label on each carefully. Eventually they found the correct bottle. When I paid, the total was incorrect. After quite some explaining to them how it should be, they corrected the bill. Overall I had the impression that this place is run by people with little experience. I'll probably wait for the next change in ownership before I go again. Very disappointing. I should have noticed that the place was quite empty for a Saturday night when we got there.

Bolero is place for tea, coffee and beer not for dinner. Wine was sour in a way that wine was kept with an opened lid for a long time. Dinner was not great and especially with that uncooked shrimp. Partner and I felt so sick there after eating the uncooked shrimp and the wetdog smell did not go away easily. I would have asked the shrimp to be cooked properly but it was so disgusting I could not have another one.

2 years ago swore we would never eat there again, and despite reading the current recent reviews of several 1* and 2** reviews, gave it another chance. Very disappointing, had to send steak back, which they did agree to refund. A shame as the decor is very pleasant and have to say the service was one thing that had improved.

Last week we had dinner, warm welcome we was seated very quickly and then was left for a while before the waiter came back and took our entree and main order. Entree was well priced main arrived and felt over price for the size. Overall price and size portions were ok, service was reasonable, not my best restaurant. 4 stars issued could do with more customer service and meal portion sizing. Then I would give it a 5 star rating

Had a wonderful experience at Bolero on New Year's Eve. Busy restaurant but staff were efficient, really warm and friendly and attentive. As the place was pretty full when we arrived, we didn't expect our meals to arrive within 10 minutes! Fantastic! Both meals were tasty, well presented and reasonable serving sizes. This isn't our first visit to Bolero, and we always receive the same great standard of service, whether we are there for a drink or meal. Have never been disappointed with the food and they make great cocktails too! We will certainly keep Bolero on our list of Bar\\Restaurants!
