Do not rent car with Budget Car Rental, especially their Auckland Airport counter. Absolute cheater!. I rented a car on 27th of March, paid exact amount on the counter, but the credit card transaction showed 43.00 have been over charged, and there is another pending fee of original quote showed on 1st April. Furthermore, they charged me for another 58.30 for the petrol service fees even though I have filled up the petrol at the petrol station nearby before the car returning back to them. Beware! They are attempting to steal the money from their customers.

Absolute scam of a business. We rented a car during the christmas period. We paid the exact amount at the airport. We have then been charged on our credit card the exact amount of the car rental. We rang straight away and were promised it would be in our account within 10 days. It is now February and after 4 calls to customer service with still no resolution. The customer service rep said this is happening a lot. They are stealing from their customers. Do not rent a car from them. This is the first review I've ever written.
Customer service goes along way especially when you are putting your hard working money into a companies business. Tania’s customer service was really extremely rude! I don’t think any customer should deserve this type of attitude to what she had portrayed. The saying “customers are always right” i personally don’t like this saying especially coming from a customer service background myself and my husband. My husband and I had even mentioned something to the manager after a miss understanding happened. But still there was no reason for Tania to come out with the rude comments to us. Would not recommended budget rentals.
Awful experience. Charged me double the original price I was quoted after I dropped off the car. Emailed them to find out what happened and the just blatantly lied and told them I had rang up asking for an extra day. A complete scam.
We rent a car and got confirmation to pick up 10 pm as we went their 9:45 pm they were close As we call and they said sorry Come in moring next day

Beware! Google maps sends you to this carpet no matter what. I entered budget Domestic terminal rental returns 3 times and ended up in vacant carport at international terminal 3 times. Auckland Airports needs to get this sorted as the cutoff is 30 mi uses before flights due to covid, we used up 30 minutes parking g and running to the domestic terminal, just in time for our flight. Adjust it please to help others!
Originally quoted 221,70. On the day of arrival had to pay 401,81. The sneaky sales lady added an excess reduction onto the bill but did not explain this was an optional add on. Very disappointed in this service.
