Please be very wary in your dealings with this vet practice. Make sure you do your research and read all the other reviews first - like I should have. There is a common theme at play here. We have now run a mile and we're extremely happy with the Ellerslie Vet Clinic - only wish we had moved sooner. If your preference is to be laughed at, put under pressure unnecessarily and hit with an enormous bill at the end of it - then this is the place for you!

I was rather mistreated over my cat Wednesday. I had adopted her 2 years prior, I loved her she was rather scared of humans as she was rather feral so she ended up running away and I never found her. Fast forward two years. I received a email saying a woman had bought her in, and that they wanted to contact me regarding if I wanted her (bare in mind this was two years after her disappearance) I was asked if I wanted to keep her. When I was deciding with my current flat because believe it or not I had moved houses since Wednesday. I received an awful, impolite and just plain rude call from one of the workers there. She was just rude and I wish I had caught her name. She wanted me to give her an answer over the phone in less than a minute over what was going to happen to MY cat, and basically wanted me to hand over my rights to this woman who had stolen my cat (basically did as she did not even bother to check for a chip for a whole 2 years) I was shocked because I was pretty hear broken that she never came back, and worried she had been dead, they did not give me very much time on organizing and possibly deciding. I felt rushed. I just wanted to point this out, when and if you are ever under the circumstances of adopting with this company that it seems they lack empathy regarding how hard it would be for someone to just give their rights over. Apologies for slight rant.

I want to say big Thank You to the CareVets team Mt Wellington. Our precious puppy Poppy had her surgery there and before taking her to the clinic we were really stressed out because she never been without us anywhere and plus surgery - such a scary word. That day later she was perfectly fine but most important - 5 days later we went for check up ,Poppy was so excited when we approached the clinic and was running to the door happily wagging her tale and was truly delighted to meet the team and be in the clinic. We were expecting an opposite reaction thinking she would be terrified to go there. What else can be a better indication of a great job done by CareVets. Very grateful to the team. Thank you again. Highly recommend the clinic.
