Communication with the owners was always pleasant and efficient but unfortunately when it came to our move we had a disappointing experience. Our antique dining table was broken, so was a set of bedroom drawers and the joint for the lid of our baby grand piano. To top it off, the movers dumped rubbish on our neighbours property and ours. Empty drink bottles, takeaway food packaging and bits of paper. We were shocked to be honest. Our neighbour made a complaint to the company himself. Perhaps we were naive in thinking the move would take 3 hours (as was estimated in the quote we were given) It ended up taking 6.5 hours - this included me helping out with labour as a third person. We were reimbursed 300 for the total damages when we contacted the owners and received an apology. It has cost us more than double that to fix the damages especially as we had to hire transport to take our dining table to an antique furniture repair shop. We are not the type to write bad reviews and have waited 6 weeks before deciding to post this. Unfortunately we felt it was fair to write this review. The owners were efficient, pleasant and helpful but the staff they had hired for our job were rough, unprofessional and did not arrive with all the equipment needed we believe. We had previously stated we had 2 pianos, the movers did not even arrive with a skid (despite the company saying on it's website that it specialised in piano moving also).
Amazing bunch of crews. They knew what they are doing. Removed all my stress of moving. They moved my antique piano together with the household contents from Auckland to Paihia. 5 star service
Absolute nightmare!!!! Worst movers ever! Booked for 8am got a message that they're gonna be late because he had an issue with one of his man so he had to postone to 12-2pm. At 2 pm he called again that they're gonna be late and will have to postpone again till 3pm. It's now 4 pm and i tried to call them and now his excuse is that the car broke down! We ended up calling someone else because 0530pm and they were still not there. Seriously worst people to deal with. Worst service ever! Please please don't waste your money on this people. Not worth the stress and inconvenience.
No doubt central furniture movers have done a professional move once again. Booked them last minute and their service was a 5 ️. Highly recommended
Great service from start....to finish. Very hot day, the boys worked solidly through the heat, always helpful. Totally recommend
