I came with my family around 6.30pm for dinner and we were told to wait for 10-15 mins for a table, though there were about 4 table available, the reception should have given us one table instead for us to wait.. food is serve in about 5 mins and they are good, we enjoyed it! We always love Chinese food as we lived in Singapore for 8 years..
This place has been here for several years as the "standard" place for Chinese food in Birkenhead. Basic layout and decor, serviceable rather than fancy. The menu is smaller than in the past, which is a pity, but they also seem to have off the menu dishes quite often. The food is OK, less flavoursome than in the past, but servings remain generous, good value for price. To sum up, it's where you go when you live locally and want Chinese, but not worth a special trip.
We've been going to China Hong-Kong for over 20 years. It has never let us down. Great food and service.

this review is a collective feedback from me and my housemates who ordered yesterday... the middle aged woman who takes orders at the front desk is not nice..seems like she is not happy taking up orders and not pleasant to costumers. we just let it pass that one..but when we got our order ,she gave us a wrong order..which it should be fried but we didnt the right order which supposed to be..my housemates complained to her and she responded that we should have told her deep fried..which infact in the menu its not written deep fried..even told them that she showed a picture of the menu which infact no pic in their menu.just list of foods..this incident didnt happened just once but 3 times already..thats why i decided to write a review of it.food wise its okay but the service is poor..
Great Roast Duck .We had a whole one and some lovely steamed vegetables.
Best Peking Duck (and the sauce!) I have ever had. Went to a few places, even the high end restos in the bougie CBD, and non compare to this establishment. Consistently delicious. My favourite Chinese restaurant.
