We purchased a Travel Insurance Policy to cover an Interislander Ferry crossing in good faith. Chubb are refusing to pay out on the policy as they feel that because of Covid 19 the claim was not an "unforeseen circumstance" If this is the case why were we sold a policy???

Cancelled policy via 0800 phone call and via Chubb website contact page. 2 months later after initial 0800 phone call, still trying to get Chubb to cancel policy. And also, they're still invoicing me. Very poor customer service, there overseas contact centre is unreliable and difficult to deal with.

They wont be there when you need them. We have been covered for public liability with Ace for a good Decade, and when we had a piece of equipment fail to the point the 40k piece of equipment had to be trashed, ACE gave us a bollocks response effectively rejecting a completely valid claim, so we are left carrying the can. I can only assume the rest of our insurance will also be treated in this manner which is disappointing. We are seeking options to have this taken to the ombudsman, but this is despite our broker trying to have this reviewed.. Not impressed.

I have been having fits with this outfit. So over the so called resolution process for complaints that I am going through, due to a system error that they had earlier this year. It has been an ongoing battle with them to refund premiums that were taken, due to this system error. I have been given the round around so much that I am finally done with it, am having my accounts manager run an investigation with my finances that will once and for all prove that they have NOT refunded the full amount that this mistake has caused, including bank fees that really made me mad. Once this investigation has been finalised, I too will be seeking help from the Ombudsman, due to pretty shoddy handling by this company. I do not recommend this company at all.
