What a GEM! The atmosphere was just perfect. Staff were super friendly and helpful and the food DELISH. We chose a number of dishes so we had a variety of flavours. We shared the puddings and were not disappointed. Highly recommend this little piece of Asian Fusion cuisine hidden in Picton Street in Howick.

Good food with super fast service probably due to the 8.30pm booking on a Sunday night! Lol. The toilet deserves a special mention too....Tiger print very cool.
Great atmosphere, cocktails & friendly staff. Like most street food restaurants, we were encouraged to order a number of small dishes to share which we did. The dumplings were absolutely delicious but we made the error of mostly ordering fried dishes (drunken noodles, fried eggplant, squid, pork belly etc). The fried dishes were drenched in oil which was overpowering by the end of the meal. I'll definitely return again but will take care to order more varied dishes.
Great serving staff. Fast didn't wait long for first dish. Good food sharing plates. Clean no sticky tables. Very nice atmosphere.
Honestly I was so satisfied with the setting cause we booked and walked in there happy, but everything went wrong after that. I waited with my friend for food and because we ordered quite a bit. we waited for a while, some food got brought everything was fine but we waited like another hour or so before we lost patience and asked someone about our order, they said they'll check but after another half hour we had to ask another staff but gave the same answer then when they finally brought some more dishes, they got it wrong cause we never ordered those, then me and my friend just left after paying. When we were out and getting home I looked at the receipt and realised we paid for the 2 dishes that we didn't order. We didn't even have those dishes we told them that's jot what was ordered and they took it back into the kitchen. That was honestly the worst service and communication we've had with restaurant staff. Disappointing, definitely not one I will go again.
Made the mistake of coming by for just drinks. Incredibly subpar cocktails. Ordered at the bar, paid and walked back to my table. Proceeded to watch the bartender make drinks for about 10 other people before making ours. One of our cocktails was sitting on the counter for a good 5 minutes before being brought to us (during summer flies season). So after waiting 15 minutes for two drinks, one cocktail was deathly sweet. Almost choked. Apparently, all the soda was at the bottom and hadn't been actually mixed into the drink itself. They also don't provide a mixing spoon and the paper straw had already disintegrated during the time it was forgotten about. Second cocktail we got (Red Lotus) was better, quite tasteless but at least it was mixed. Host was friendly but never again.
10 stars if i could lol. Came yesterday for anniversary supper with my wife and was amazed at the awesome food. Service from staff was awesome and they made us feel very welcoming. Im definitely coming back to this place because this was thee best asian fusion i had in Auckland. Even when the kitchen had just closed some guy came in for dumplings and they managed to fire up some quickly for him. Thanks again for a great evening to everyone at Daisy Chang :)
