Dean helped me with my knee that was in pain since 15 years. Now it's like I had a new knee. I enjoy his holistic approach, combining acupuncture, massages and herbal treatments. I recommend him a lot.

I am very lucky to find Dean to treat my back pain. I have been to numerous physios and gps to find no effective treatment for my problem. Sessions with them only lasted 30 mins, with them addressing the issue to a very shallow level and my problem persisted. When I went to Dean I felt like he really took the time to sit down and listen to my complaints. Each session was 60 mins long with acupuncture and massage and he also gave me a small program to do in my own time. It's only been 3 sessions but I can feel the pain is slowly going away. Overall, the standard that Dean sets is far beyond any other practitioner I have been to. 100% recommend him to anybody.

Dean is the best practicioner I've ever been to - and I've seen many holistic healers! He gave me a combined treatment of TCM, acupuncture, massage, counselling and herbal remedies to take away. He is the only person in NZ registered and practicing Tibetan yoga and treatment. I found Dean to be wise, caring, insightful and very effective at helping with my health issues. In only one session!!! I would recommend Dean to EVERYONE and just wish I could see him more but I'm moving from Auckland in a few months. If only we could bottle him Thanks again Dean, you're awesome!

I've been seeing dean for almost a year now. I originally saw him due to severe neck pain .Normally, I don't seek help. I grew up in America and battled if the cost was worth the lessening of pain, it generally wasn't. The pain was so bad that I was encouraged by several friends to go see Dean. When I went to knock on his door he was very busy but checked on my neck then immediately took his one hour break between clients to give me a treatment. The first few sessions were very painful due to the level of injury but I felt the pain lessen and lessen then go away completely. At that point in my life I honestly had just come to think of that pain as a part of daily life and had given up on healing it. My shoulders and neck have been in pain my whole life, now, they feel great. Dean doesn't just focus on one area, he asked larger questions and started to get a wider view of my pain and imbalances and slowly i've began to feel more content, more balanced and overall happier. Taking the time once a week for healing has changed my life, I look forward to seeing Dean each week, its a dedicated time to heal and hangout with Dean, getting to know him as a person has been delightful. Each week I feel more and more able to talk and open up about my life. I have come to respect Dean as a healer and enjoy him as a friend

I've only ever worked with one other acupuncturist and that experience left me wondering if it was right for me. But Dean resolved a problem I was working with a physio for months on, in an unbelievable amount of time, and with great patience and care. He's compassionate and true, and maybe most importantly, extremely good at what he does. Highly recommended!

I have had back issues for many years and went to many doctors, massage therapists and physios to help with the pain and nothing seemed to work. Just a few sessions with Dean and I've never felt better. He is super genuine and only wants the best for his clients. Dean manages to bring his own chilled out edge to a beautiful holistic way of living. Thanks for everything Dean!

If I could add another star I would ! In the past I suffered a very painful sport shoulder blade injury . Going to the physiotherapist with ACC was absolutely useless, even worse, in addition to the pain I had to suffer some painful manipulations and those horrible 'dry needles' which are like knife stabs! In the end I was so demoralised and still so very aching that I had to use steroid injection. Dean listens to you and understands how he must cure your injury, he does not dissociate yourself from your pain . This is one of the many reasons his needles heal you and for this don't even hurt anymore. In addition to making the pain of a deep muscle tear in my right hip disappear in 3 sessions, with delicate massages, chinese herbs and acupuncture he is able to treat my 'chronic anxiety' wonderfully , leaving me in a state of perfect and natural relaxation that no sedative can give you. I have used Valium in the past a few times but Dean's treatment is way better than Valium! Thank you Dean Wickenden , you are a magitian .
