Visited with work colleagues on a training day at lunchtime. The place is lovely and clean. Nicely presented with friendly staff. We were seated quickly and water arrived as we looked over the menu. The choice of food was varied and sounded delicious. It was clear the cafe was popular as lots of people were coming and going. Some eating in and others taking food out. I chose the Thai Chicken with Rice and a Bowl of Miso Soup. Both were yummy. Really tasty and enough to fill me up. All my colleagues enjoyed they're chosen meals. The price of the food is very competitive with lots of lunchtime deals to be had. Highly recommended. Thanks I will definitely be back.

Came by for lunch and grabbed the Sticky Pork Belly lunch special. It came out at the usual time and was quite tasty in my opinion. The pork belly could have been cooked a bit nicer but the flavour was good. A plus side is definitely the price point - 11.50, which may be why they didn't bother making it look nice on the plate (see picture). I liked it, though. Curious about the other menu items - hopefully significantly better quality than the lunch special, at the prices they set.
What a find. We don't often set afoot to North Shore, and we were looking for somewhere easy to eat - we're not expecting anything great. Much to our surprise, the pricing of Duck Duck Goose was reasonable, the portions were generous, and the quality was pleasantly high. Moreover, the coffee was great! We will certainly be returning to this eatery. Thanks for the unexpected gold!
Amazing fries, super friendly staff and great portion of the lunch special. The best ice mocha i’ve had in a while. Love the real plants and overall aesthetic. Just need to look into a way of keeping the fruit flies at bay around the windows.
Duck Duck Gross Not sure if I came on the wrong day... Crab omelette, crab had shells inside, egg had too much water so almost wasn’t egg anymore, far too light. Sauce was average. Didn’t taste good. Crab was frozen crab, and was very bland and not good. There were shells and cartilage inside too which we had to keep spitting out. Soft shell crab bao, the crab was extremely oily and dark, crunchy which was goot, but oil probably needs changing. Otherwise might’ve been deep fried twice. Big breakfast mushrooms were bland and runny, tasted like it came from a tin. Wonton meat was very dry, maybe try add some fat or skin for it to be juicy as deep frying can easily dry out the pastry and inside too. The duck duck as a very neat idea, but very over cooked, extremely dry as can be seen in the photo. Meat kept getting stuck in our teeth. Maybe try a different approach or sousvide and quick fry? The curry was very watery tasted tin or jar. Or too much water added. Very bland and not rich and creamy. I hope the chef takes these reviews serious so can be better in the future. I see a few people have said service is slow, but for us when about half the tables were occupied on a weekend, we were served right away and the food took exactly 15 minutes. The food was quite good and surprisingly filling for what it was. Omelette has a good amount of vegetables and the French toast had some original flavors that made it pretty unique and tasty. There is plenty of parking at the door.
Authentic thai curry soup, i think its the best in NZ. AWESOME.
DDG never disappoints. Coffee is always amazing, long black tastes fruity and not burnt. Food is very good. High quality ingrdients, garnished well, and tastes amazing. You can definitely tell that everything is made in the kitchen by Chef Willie, and not prepackaged like other cafes and restaurants. The duck curry will always be a favourite, love that it is confit by chef in the kitchen.
