If anything Eastern Rentals has improved their customer service, especially their receptionist Craig I believe is his name. He has exceptional customer service as their front line, from the time we booked for the Easter long weekend, he handled our booking professionally and was very friendly. Their Toyota Hiace was perfect, ran smoothly and was a good drive too. Glad Eastern Rentals have up their game with hiring good employees with good service, as I feel in the past I get intimidated with the owners staunch gestures. But either than that, Craig was the best! Look forward to using you again in future.!

Horrible experience, unwarranted truck supplied, no life in the person who gave me the truck, truck had bald tyres and wouldn't have passed a wof/cof. This company makes me sick that they would risk human lives instead of paying the small amount of money to get it sorted
Make it real easy when you moving house yourself. Can rent all you moving need with the truck for reasonable price.
I hired a van for just 2 hours to pick up a Washing machine, I went there in the morning around about 10. Paperwork was smooth and the guy told me that if I bring back the van after 2 hours, no matter what I would be charged for another hour. I was ok with it. I drove the van to my home, which was just 8 minutes drive. Parked the van in the driveway to throw in some blanket before I could pick up the washing machine. I turned off the van in the driveway, tried to start the engine again to go but ignition did not start. The nightmare starts from here..my house in the shared driveway, The van blocked the driveway and when I called back the guy to tell him about the engine starting problem, rather then helping or listening to me, he went on about if it is your fault you have to pay 2000. I was scared because I have been only 10 minutes since I rented the van and the guy in the store blaming me for this. The guy told me to call AA assistance to call for help, I was frustrated because I hired this van for just 2 hours and god knows how long would AA assistance would take to come, on top of this I was blocking the whole driveway. Luckily our neighbour is mechanic, he saw us struggling and brought his jump starter and thank god that van started. Wasted my 40 minutes dealing with this. I did not turn off the van afterwards, completed my task, got back to the store to return the van, the guy came to check the van and told me that he would deduct Fuel money as I did not refuel. I was shocked, how would I refuel the van without turning it off, I was scared it would not start again at the gas station. I explained this to the guy in the store. The guy in the store turned off the van and tried to start it again upon return and it did not start again. The store guy told me that he will not charge for the fuel money. Which is fine but It was literally a very bad experience for me with this rental company.

I must admit after reading the reviews I started to panic. However I found the service to be very professional. Yes they're not chatty. But they did the job fast & effectively. We left the truck in the condition that it came & got our bond back no problems minus kms. Would definitely go through them again.
The best rental/furniture moving company in AOTEAROA. This place makes it SO EASY. Great pricing and blankets, trollies, tie downs etc are very affordable. Yes you pay a refundable deposit BUT the actual cost is very affordable. For the small trucks only need car license! I rate this place more than 5 stars. More like 50.
