Hi Ecotricity, we wanted to join you because we like what you stand for. Doing our homework before joining you, we checked your reviews. WOW - what appalling customer service ! We will not join you because we do not want months of waiting that others had experienced with you to sort out a problem if there is one. You need to improve on this, because we wont join you with this sort of problems.

Ecotricity has taken time to stand up to the big Gentailers who have been "gaming" the market, providing power to their own retail brands at a cheaper price than to competitors, with spot prices not so transparent and causing wholesale energy prices to soar.
I have been an ecotricity customer for a couple of years and had no big issues. We moved house 2 months ago and they still can't give us a bill or an estimate as we are on their wholesale plan. They are blaming the issue on a new billing system not talking to the meter and that they are working on it. Their IT team need to think of putting better back up systems in case like this to avoid customers getting huge bills. Update, after 4 months and dealing with the CEO I am still having issues with the billing and will be switching companies and recommend avoiding Ecotricity.
Great company with real integrity and ethics for carbon neutral electricity. Friendly and helpful customer service compared to some other electricity providers I have dealt with.
Ecotricity genuinely is trying to get New Zealand to reduce their reliance on fossil fuels.

Recommended by a friend as an easy way to reduce my carbon footprint. Great service.
Miserable customer service. Calls go through to their tech support who cannot help with bills. Call backs are an option but we’ve given up after being ignored for weeks. Emails also go unanswered yet they sent us a reminder to pay the bill! Feeling super ignored and very frustrated.
