The communication at Endoscopy Auckland is poor to say the least. I was scheduled to attend on Thursday and Auckland re-entered level 3 on the Wednesday. I called the clinic and found out the procedure was cancelled. Fair enough, working at level 3 affects procedures for many workplaces and is bound to impact services. The clinic called back to reschedule (I happened to be driving my car which I also explained). I was told that I had to reschedule then and there. The staff were unable to wait the 90 seconds (literally) that it took me to park my car so that I could look at my calendar, forcing me to accept a date 15 days later. Fine. 12 days later, I contact the clinic to verify my appointment. I had had no communication, so this was a precautionary check. Endoscopy Auckland explained that pending the results of the alert status there was a 50% chance the procedure would be rescheduled. It took Endoscopy Auckland 8 working days to communicate this information to me. I called them a third time to find out the procedure was cancelled, again. I am not sure whether it is just the communication or the management too, but either way the service is poor. I cannot comment on other aspects of service or quality as I did not visit the centre, choosing to go elsewhere instead. TL DR If you want to waste your time chasing people for information. Come here.

Dr Alison Hayes is sensational... very patient, empathetic, understanding and professional. She explains everything and in an understandable way. Her receptionist is polite, kind and very caring.

Dr David Merrilees has a good reputation and references from kiwi friends at work so we went to visit this clinic and see the place and arrange a booking to my mother as I live nearby just across the road – this was few months ago. But unfortunately the lady at reception -his PA I guess, was very rude and aggressive and treated us (specially my old mother) like sh…t . Therefore don’t waste your time here and get insulted. It may be unfair toward the doctor as we didn’t see him but I can imagine that doctors hiring someone with this awful customer service and racists personality may have same attitude or already accepts her manners on how she treats patients – & I suggest to PA lady to get new job if she doesn’t like to treat customers equally regardless of their race and origin good if she attends a course or training in this field before entering business as this industry is sensitive and mainly dealing with patients who seek proper treatment with dignity . I am surprised she still working in this trade. This is my honest feedback. Thanks K. Ching , Epsom - Auckland
