Lovely discovery. Will be great when all the track are open again

With current restrictions on Kauri Dieback, the track is not that long and reduced with newly built boarded walk. Can't reach all the way to cemetery and only could get out towards Windy ridge. Not that great. But still small little nature walk you can do.

Fresh clean air, feel lucky to have places like this to walk and explore nature. I used to take places like this for granted but as I get older I understand what beautiful country New Zealand is. So my message to kiwi's is go enjoy our paradise

Beautiful place, lots of nice junior kauri. Definetely more than half an hour's walk I haven't been through the exit yet. Kauri die back prevention stations throughout.

Wonderful hidden rainforest walk on the shore. New walkway makes the walk ideal for a safe run or walk with kids. The whole reserve might take about 2 to 3 hours to cover at a moderate pace. Great little saturday adventure for the family. Take water, insect repellent and some snacks/sandwiches to have at the picnic tables in the side park. There is a decent swimming hole and a few small waterfalls. Really cool place to visit. Dogs on leads are allowed but we noticed that no one had their dogs on leads.
