Went to Fang last night for dinner to celebrate my birthday - as always, amazing cuisine, atmosphere and the staff are very attentive and service focused. The little finishing touches to the decor add the special edge and ambience to this dining experience. Ok i firstly need to admit, I'm not easy to please these days, as i find many places just lack in quality service and overall taste and flavour. I'm happy to report this place is really nice. Wonderful friendly service and excellent quality food. We had the twice braised beef, lamb ribs, pan seared beans, chips, money bags and beef dumplings. All dishes were just as they should be. The lamb didn't look that nice but the first bite changed all that with a lovely flame grilled flavor. We'll definitely be back for more.

Came here to try after recommendation. We ordered a few of their chef special. The chicken lettuce wrap was absolutely gorgeous and just the right amount of heat. The braised pork tasted good and presented well. The soft shell crab was ok but not spectacular. Overall was a nice meal.

Great food. If you are into really HOT food try the chili seafood hotpot. Green fish curry was delicious. The squid tentacles and lemon goats cheese dumplings were excellent as usual.

It was amazing experience dining at the Fang for lunch. Firstly the staff were very welcoming along with the manager who offered to best service possible. The Pork Dumplings served here are a must try if you ever visit this place. They also have a vast beverage selection to choose from and the staff were very knowledgeable about the menu and helped us choose the right drink .

I am not sure if I was taken a piss at, but I ordered 'La Zi Ji' from the Sichuan menu - 5% chicken the rest were chilies. We were a troop of 10 people having team lunch. Anyway, the menu mentions that its 'Wok tossed chicken pieces with a generous amount of dried chillies and Sichuan pepper' - wasn't expecting this in New Zealand! The waiter didn't give any warnings/advise either. Nor did he indicate that the dish has no gravy(sorry I lacked knowledge in that space) and ordering a bowl of rice was unnecessary! The worst lunch money I spent in a decade.
