Satay was genuinely one of the best in Auckland. If they have more all you can eat satay, I will definitely attend again.

I would have really appreciated seeing constructive reviews on First Table before booking as we were fairly disappointed after seeing great public reviews on their site, and then getting a not-so-great experience. (the constructive feedback doesn’t get publicly published, it only shows when people had a good experience) Our experience amongst other things: Juice didn’t taste good and to our surprise it was 4 months Out-of-date, with a faded label. They replaced with another drink when I eventually told the waitress. The chicken arrived very quickly, it didn’t look fresh and was cold with pink inside, so we didn’t end up eating it and were generally disappointed with the meals although the flavours weren’t bad. Bathroom were not maintained and the whole experience made us feel very awkward, unfortunately for us and the place/staff. We did fear we would get sick if we carried on with our drink and meal.
Walked past this place the other day and noticed it had changed from a bakery to a Malaysian Eatery so I popped in to try something for lunch. I asked for a noodle soup and was offered a Seafood Noodle Laksa which I decided to try.......IT was so DELICIOUS!! Had Prawns, Mussel, Fish....I think it even had a part of a Scampi in it. Very authentic ingredients. So nice.
Let me Tell this was the best Malaysian Buffet Experience Ever.Only come here if you want to dine with one of the best Authentic Penang style Malaysian food which usually they have is kind of hawker style food. They are new just about a month old and they post all their latest weekly and weekend specials on their facebook page. after a longtime we found a authentic style of malaysian food, with all these flavors and taste. anyone looking to try the Malaysian style taste this is must recommend place. today they had a buffet with Popiah Basah with lot other food items.
I loved it. My husband not so much. They said it wasn't hot and for me it wasnt. For my husband it was too damn hot for his kiwi tastes. We shared the soft shell with the house sauce (yum) and to be honest I could have eaten it all myself. Hubby doesnt want to return but I will go back with friends. I refused the first table discount as I want them to stay open and we all know covid has been hard on small business.
The worst Malaysian food ever. I ordered a fried rice and they picked up veges from the buffet to make my fried rice. And it doesn't even taste like malaysian food .
Food does not taste like Asian food Ordered Char Kwetiau taste so salty, Malaysian chicken rice was so nice but chili&soy sauce broth no taste and baked chicken was not Asian style and Laksa is average Overall there no true Asian flavours at all.
Sorry to say but it was an absolute disaster. easily the worst Malaysian food in Auckland, after Madam Woo. The teh tarik was literally hot water with tea flavouring. beef rendang was well... not a rendang at all. It was soupy and the meat was barely chewable (it was the most bizarre thing we had). the beef satay was burnt with a very oily peanut sauce. Nasi lemak came with soggy anchovies but the rice was passable. mee goreng was super salty and oily. My wife and I are Malaysians and this was hugely disappointing worst part was it set us back about 60. It all felt like very lazy cooking. If you are a Malaysian stay away, other places like chef rasa sayang, Mamak, KK and Uncle Man are way better in taste and value.
