I went to Gates Eyewear to get some prescription lenses fit into my existing pair of sunglasses as they gave me the best quote out of the 8-10 optometrists I called. My frames are a bit strange which makes it difficult to put the lenses into the frames as they have to be manually pushed in. The initial pair of lenses they ordered was incorrect which they apologised for but then they tried many iterations of lenses as they were gently scratched each time they were fitted in. The whole time they were extremely transparent with me and then asked if I wanted to see the scratch after their most recent attempt. It was a VERY small scratch and I genuinely believe they could have not told me and I might not have seen it. To compensate for the scratch they also offered me a half price discount. I have NEVER been to a place that pays so much attention to customer service and satisfaction. I am more than happy to make this my regular optometrist.

Requested a quote via the Gates website and received a phone call the following day. Although they couldn't procure original parts (no one I contacted could) they offered to do a custom job. Sent in my sunglasses to have the hinge repaired as it had completely snapped only made worse by trying to fix it myself. Had to call in for an update but appreciated the fact that it was easy for whoever I talked to to pull up the job and have immediate info. Payed via bank transfer and the glasses were shipped back same day. Got them back and they work perfect. The hinge that was installed looks a lot sturdier that the original one which is cool. Thanks Gates! I'll be sure to use you again if the need arises.
These guys really know what customer service is about. My wife and I have been seeing (lol) them for a few years now, and just yesterday went in to pick out her new Chrome Hearts frames. These things are amazing, and just add to the experience you get at Gates. Lee spent a ton of time adjusting my new frames while I was there, to get them just right for me. Nothing was too much trouble. Thanks guys!
I had a fantastic experience. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Excellent systematic eye exam then considerate and informed advice with selection of new frames. Staff were happy to help with frame adjustment a few weeks later and even gave me half price replacement frames for old prescription lenses as back up pair. Would definitely recommend this lovely team of optometrists.
Gates were recommended to me for prescription cycling glasses after multiple other eyewear providers were clueless. Not only did Gates know exactly what the options were and helping me with a decision, they were exceptional in keeping me informed of progress until the glasses arrived. Top notch service.
