Fine place to stop for a beer and a snack. Was pretty quiet for a Saturday night. Food is mediocre, but the lanterns are nice.

Quality and service Dropped two staff working on Friday with restaurant full. Lady forgot our order we waited almost an hour.
Automatically when you get there, your greeted by huge gong and a warm welcome. It was extremely lively when I arrived but the service was timely and welcoming. The food itself was really good and piping hot, defs would recommend for a night out (bonus it’s super close the train station and the main road)
Absolutely delicious, I definitely can guarantee this Beef Tataki is the best taste I have tried so far in whole Auckland. Ramen broth just so sweet and light, I drank it more than eating other parts . And 9 desert green tea ice cream is just so good and better than any other green tea ic from other stores.
I always enjoy popping into Genta for a cold glass of Orion and a snack, staff are always friendly and welcoming.

25 people on one table, and they completely forget about the rest of the customers in the restaurant. I understand I don’t spend as much money as that group, but I feel like I should still be attended properly. No attention at all, people sitting next to us had to ask for the menu, or to be served. The food is amazing ️. They need a bit more of staff training or someone to coordinate the team! X
