The person who took my call when my husband's wallet was missing ws absolutely fantastic. She could not have been any more caring and helpful, just like I imagined the police would be. When the wallett was found, a fantastic policeman made sure we received it back promptly - full 5 stars for both of these wonderful people. (this happened on saturday 20th February. ) It would be great if I could thank them both personally, both went out of their way to help. However, when I tried to contact the Glen Innes police station (12.45 pm Monday 22nd feb) to update the file to say that the wallet has been found, and to thank the two people above, it was impossible to get throught to Glen Innes police station. They do repeat the please hold on to speak with someone message, but no one picks up the phone. What is happening to the police ? Someone could be in trouble - not enough for it to be an emergency - but still in trouble, or reporting someone else, and it is impossible to contact the police. A bit of a shock that there is no one available in the now 12 minutes (NOT a misprint !)showing on the phone while I am waiting. Hence the 5 stars which the two others fully deserved is not able to be given, because of it taking over 12 minutes and the phone sstill not answered. That is a very looong time to wait for a call to be answered.

Calling the number given by this station 571 2800 - I spoke with a man today he was indecorous and insensitive to the cascading issues the assault had cause my partner and I, Honestly made me feel as if the police have no care for the victims of crime. wish i could give a half start.
