I purchased 2 reversing lamps, unfortunately one was cracked, I advised and was even prepared to purchase another one, Giffiths Equipment sent me another free of charge. We own an Automotive repair workshop and we wanted to be able to trial and recommend upgraded head light bulbs for our customers. We selected two sets of 100 Narva bulbs to fit to our workshop utes high and low beam headlights for evaluation- The light output was good and we were quite happy......until after just over 3 months when one of the head light bulbs failed. We contacted our supplier who said they would get a replacement organised, however Griffith Equipment have refused to offer any warranty on the bulbs, nor offer any other help with remedying the issue. Both our supplier and ourselves find this unacceptable. As a retailer we could not refuse to help a customer that had a headlight bulb fail, for no obvious reason (the Ute is less than two years old) and we would have replaced the bulb even if it meant we were out of pocket. Our supplier also felt the same and have graciously replaced both the bulbs, at no cost to us, with a higher quality product from another brand. Lesson learnt i guess. We do not believe as a retailer, that the consumer guarantees act would allow us to refuse to replace a bulb we fitted to customers vehicle and it failed in such a short time. We will not be using Narva products again as there is no apparent back up from Griffith Equipment if something goes wrong. Cymon Northern Automotive.
