Alan has been teaching me guitar for 2 y ears. He is an accomplished & friendly guitar player & teacher. We have covered a wide range of guitar skills & types of music. He is flexible with his lessons and I have appreciated his willingness & ability to quickly, on the fly, interpret, tab and teach me my favourite songs from CD, during a lesson. Some of these songs he had not heard before. At the end of each lesson, I video Alan as he demonstrates the things to work on from the previous week’s song & then covers the finer points of this week’s new song. This is a valuable tool to supplement each lesson. I am now able to play a wide range of songs in front of my family & friends.

I've been taking guitar lessons from Alan over the last two years, he's been an awesome teacher. He offers a variety of genres with a wealth of knowledge. Every lesson has been great, packed with information and heaps of things to practice on. Alan is a very good teacher, because he's taught heaps of students, he can pin point why something is not working for you straight away. I felt very lucky to be able to find a teacher like Alan :) There's absolutely no wasting time with his lessons.

Alan knows his stuff. No question. But he is too rigid and ditched me as I didnt want to learn some of the songs he chose. I haven't picked up my guitar since.
