Had an extremely bad experience with renting a property through them. NO notices in advance for inspection and there were a lot of them as the house was under selling. Asking and telling them every time that they should give a notice in advances was ending with reply - ‘Oh, yeah, sorry’ and no actions taken - just next knock at the door. The worst thing was - having a call from the agent, saying - you had to move out the day after tomorrow ... As it was found out they had a typo in my email in their system, that’s why I didn’t receive any notices. Having a chat with their manager about that, we came to an agreement to get just a bit more than 3 weeks to move out instead of 3 months as it was explained - the house needed to be demolished, so we can’t give you 3 months or even more than 3 weeks. However in the agreement it was clearly said - notices about inspection in at least 24 hours before, notices in contract termination 3 months... But we agreed with 3 weeks as we really wanted to help them. We were searching for a property like crazy, having open homes almost every day and some times more than once in a day. Even though they were texting and calling us constantly - like, when will you move out? Last time the call was - The owner wants you move out next week as they have plans, so you better find a place quicker ... Luckily, when we got that call, we had our application for renting a new property in progress and got approval next day after that call. We had an extremely stressful period in our life. They don’t care about tenants, they treat them just like a source of money, nothing more ... So inhuman ...

These people lost the keys to our property and we only found out when we were SWITCHING AGENTS. My new manager from another company and I both possess written evidence from the Harcourts agent in charge admitting they’ve lost the key. However, so far we have had no reimbursement for our lock changing fees and even no apologies... Feels like I am talking more to a gang than a company. See y’all in court :)
Worst service ever. Property manager Eunice is very difficult to deal and do not provide any service to tenants for the maintenance complaint. They always blame it on tenants without any check which ends up complaints being taken to tenancy tribunal. This creates trouble and waste of time for all parties involved.
My dealings were quick, on-point and the communication was very efficient. Fantastic customer service skills. Would definitely recommend using Harcourts New Lynn as your rental managers.
