Incredible turn out with these guys! We had our report in hand within two days from our first email! We're so grateful for their speedy prompt work and would gladly recommend them to anyone needing a prepurchase inspection :) The report was well written and easy to understand (which was a huge bonus for people like me that has no idea about buildings!)

Professional pre-purchace inspection report, good level of detail and fast responses.
Our first house, all the nerves and questions about; “What to do and what to do” doing a Meth Test. I think that I went back and forth emailing Katie at least 10 times, and she was replying in a professional and friendly way, explaining all the details involved. Also she even sent me an email on a Saturday; to ensure that the service was going according with the deadline that we had! Excellent service of passionate people doing great stuff, totally recommend them !!!
Very impressed by the quick and friendly communication! The level of detail is also great. 77 pages for a 3 bedroom home. This will serve as a blueprint for future maintenance. Awesome experience. Thanks heaps Katie and the team.
I must give this company 5 star rating. Katie was so great to deal with when I was discussing business with her on the phone. She is so patient and well organised. And the inspector Cameron came to the property on time and completed the job very efficiently, explaining to you everything you need to know for future use and maintenance
I used these guys a couple of months ago to purchase our first home. My initial impression was that we had a great experience with them. I have to say Katie is excellent to deal with, friendly and very efficient (which is the only reason why I gave this review a 2, not a 1) Moving in I noticed a water stain in the ceiling above the hot water cylinder and thought to myself I hope that's not a leak in the roof (coming from a rental that had the same problem). Sure enough, a week later there is water dripping down the spouting of the hot water cylinder through the ceiling. On closer inspection (like the inspector should have done) it was pretty obvious it had been going for a while as there were water stains to the top of the cylinder and down the sides of it. None of this was mentioned in the report. We had to get a plumber in to repair and thankfully it was only 700 and not thousands. I have to also point out the terms and conditions they state on the report is contrary to their obligations under the consumer guarantees act. They try and limit the amount you can claim against them if they fail to identify a fault, however the CGA puts no limits on what you can claim for unsatisfactory service (within reason). Surely they have indemnity insurance like any professional in their field? My advice? Go somewhere else. .
HPPI would be my first recommendation to anyone asking for a good building inspection. The speed in which they booked in the inspection and delivered the report was surpassed only by the quality and the level of detail it contained. I've ordered a few building reports and this was the most thorough I have ever seen. Loaded with detail and photographs and nothing overlooked. On top of this everyone I dealt with was pleasant and responsive, from the initial quote through to delivery of the report. I will contact HPPI whenever I need an inspection done.
