I do not post reviews often, but felt like I had to post one for Hudson. I came to NZ on a working holiday visa and initially reached out to three recruitment agencies. Hudson by far was the best one. In the past 13 months they have been open and honest- which was not the case with the other recruitment agencies. Hudson was incredible through lockdown with checking on their people and truly care about finding the right job/best fit for you. I can’t say enough great things about Hudson. If you are looking for a permanent job or even temporary job- Hudson is the place to go!

No response from them at all, don't pick calls, won't tell you if you are accepted or rejected.

Had a 1pm appointment with Georgia, she was 15 mins late. Unacceptable as it sets the tone for the whole interview. I then get asked the same questions about a 24/7 roster, 6 or 7 different ways. Weird? She asked about my family and talked about their driver licensing. Um, nothing to do with my skillset or experience. She was worried about how I would get to work. To which I reassured her multiple times it wouldn't be a problem. Her tone, sounded like she didn't believe me hence asking the question several times, in different ways. The role is a serious role and she is maybe in her 20's, sounds like an adolescent (Georgia). I'm sure with the right training she won't be late next time, & know how to conduct a proper interview. Maybe an update of employees their would see them attain good reviews. The role itself needs someone (interviewer) with life experiences & maturity to understand the seriousness of employing the right people (111 calls). My critical review hudson opportunity for improvement. Updated: Amanda made contact and she is a good manager, I sent an email and she has explained herself, but does not excuse Georgia's lateness. I advised her it sets the tone. I don't however agree that getting to work is any of their concern. I was advised that relying on my family to drop me off would not be sufficient (I'm pretty sure this is the majority of every worker in NZ). I said I can drive in, or get dropped off, or uber or taxi, basically any other number of ways, but was told an uber or taxi would be too expensive (Um, again, what is any of that concern of yours Hudson?). They were more interested in my family having licenses to get me to work rather than having the skillset to perform the job. Again, it is very rare that you get feedback but I commend Amanda on doing a good job in responding, therefore I will update my stars value from 1 to 2.

Don’t waste your time with this recruitment agency, you think your going in to apply for a position but instead your just applying to their agency, which is pointless and they don’t get back to you.

Fiona was fantastic to deal with. Friendly, flexible and available. She was a professional recruiter and new her stuff. I'd recommend working for Hudson as a contractor.

Not very professional stuck on a higher level floor in a building. Parking is far away and they never come back to you.
