Purchased Mechanical Breakdown Policy (Elite European cover) from Janssen as part of used car purchase. Janssen handled my subsequent claim for fault in car (emissions control system) promptly and professionally. After my initial call to Janssen to get a claim number all the arrangements happened between the repair shop and Janssen. So the process was easy and there was no chasing up or long waits on hold.
They did jump on top of it straight away which was good...but...they deal with a mechanic that doesn't offer courtesy car so that's not good especially when I have been without a car for 4 weeks...and.... upset that the policy was only for 3k when the mechanical issue was 8.5k. Having insurance and still having to fit the bill? Why can't the insurance be higher than 3k??? That's confusing for me????
They have been really good with all the claims i have made with my constantly braking down BMW . i will stay with them.
Customer service and claim process was done perfectly.. I only had to call them once, then dropped my car to my mechanic and picked it up! No hassle.. Highly recommended!

Thankful I had mechanical breakdown insurance for a claim limitation of 10k. I needed an engine replaced no thanks to my service centre. Tina has been super helpful even though her hands are tied and the manager was helpful. If you are buying second hand from a motor dealer, def attach it. It’s good otherwise I’d be out of pocket by 10k plus. The only hope that I hope they do alter is the claim approval vs claim submitted timing. I rented a vehicle for 6 weeks as over the Christmas period. I will only get reimbursed the left over of 350. Having a care package of 2k and a claim limitation of 10k means nothing if the claim needs the 10k. You are left without having any care package as the limitation is 10k not 12k.
Janssen insurance is fantastic. I recently purchased a new car that came with an insurance package from Janssen and while driving it back from Auckland it had a pretty bad leak. Tina was so helpful and got onto it straight away. The work was done to fix it as quickly as possible and I believe this wouldn’t have been so efficient if it wasn’t for Tina. She is the perfect face for your company as I have never had more pleasant dealings as this with any insurance company. I hope Tina will be there a long time.
