Four of us turned up on our motorcycles and were hungry and turned up at this fish and chip shop. It made our day the lady I think who was the owner made us so welcome and made us laugh, great humor. We all had fun. To top it all it was the best fish and chips we have for a very long time, also the burgers was amazing paid up to 14.00 dollars for burgers in Auckland and not even 50 percent as good, this one with beef was 6.90 We also tried the mussels and scollops fried with light batter like the fish and were delicious. Happy to go back anytime, prices reasonable and very generous portions. Whether you are local on Motorbikes or Cars and want a great fish and chip shop, make sure you call in. Will be back can’t wait

Lovely owner super nice and friendly, fish was fresh and nice light batter and the steamed fish smelled amazing! Lemon pepper over the top and you’re good to go! Good little place if you’re around town or passing through
So good. Highly recommend the works burger. Also: the service, these days it’s just so refreshing to have such friendly AND competent people serving you. Top marks all round

We went to this fish and chip place tonight after visiting the hot pools and I can honestly say that this is the best fish and chips I have had in New Zealand and I have lived here for four years. The fish was freshly cooked, the batter was crispy and the chips were delicious (not British chips still good) and really friendly service by the owner. And we had a battered sausage and it was amazing. Highly recommend.
Don't be put off by the untidy appearance. The fish and chips are wonderful. Lovely chatty owner made the call in for food an experience
