I had visited this pub with my mate Jay for a classic pub meal. They did two meals for 30 and it was more than i expected. Excellent portion... Even for a Tongan appetite and the food was cooked to perfection. Steak was superb. Fish was cooked in batter and the freshness was spot on. I was impressed! Its about the quality you woukd pay for just a meal but in a swankier joint. But two deliciously prepared meals for 30 is a no brainer. I'll be back! Excuse the Arnold impression! And... The locals were a bit rough looking but the absolute best company... Plenty of laughs and wide range of world views... Most opposing but that's the spice of life. Give it a go... The locals know a good thing. .

The Wanderers or more correctly the Mangere Bridge Tavern is a VERY RARE PUB. It's a REAL COMMUNITY PUB !! Real Locals giving REAL Atmosphere. Rugby league orientated with a great collection of displayed shirts. Pub food normally available to a high standard. For a REAL Kiwi Pub try the Wanderers!!
