Booked a intercity bus for this morning at 8, we arrived at 7.55am, we tried to stop behind the bus but the bus terminal lady made us walk right around the terminal which made us miss the bus, I explained to her we need to be on that bus, me and my brothers mother was in hospital with her life support to be turned off at 4pm this afternoon in Hastings, she ignored us with no empathy or sympathy to our situation, now we are stuck here waiting for the 1 pm bus which now has left us in tears as we now have missed our last moments with our mother alive. I understand you can’t go that way, and I understand she was doing her job, but a little empathy towards others situations would of been appreciated, whoever she was, you can tell her I said thank you, and I pray nothing like this ever happens to her.
It does the job. I have had no response from Auckland Transport to my question as to why the exterior downlights are kept on 24 hours a day. Wasting power during the brightest days of summer and now as we cruise into winter
Nice station, but would be excellent if there were public power outlets for use, and if security were a bit more understanding of the unlabeled power outlet being used. I was kicked off. :(

New bus station that is behind the Manukau Shopping Center. It is also across the road from the train station. There are quite a few shops outside the station for food and drinks.
Very clean and tidy, nicely air conditioned and the signages are clear. If you still lost for direction, just ask anyone with a high visibility vest! They got me on to the right bus.
Bus timetable available on the screens and are placed along the front where the buses stop easy to read. Plenty of toilet available as well. There's a dairy, cafe and also a smoothie/juice/salad bar there good to have these shops around while you wait for the bus. Security guards there are very helpful.
