This old lady at the administration office is rather rude. Booking made weeks ago to show us around the cementary. However, this lady said no one is available to do that and asked us to buy and pay right away. We insisted to have someone to show us around and explaining the options available given that we had already booked weeks ago and finally a polite old man was available.
I found the cemetery clean and a very lovely resting place for my Dear Brother, Gary John Pepi Foster . R.I.P
Would be great if we could get a map online of the memorial gardens, would really help with trying to arrange things from overseas and a more user friendly website, more information would be great.
beautiful grounds and well looked after. Jonah Lomu is buried here. Worth paying respect. Stick to paths and respect others in park. I paid tribute because Eden Park never acknowledged JL when I did the tour. it's a must. Legend.
Lovely service for a dear friend. Heaps of room for extra people, chairs were found for many many more than we were expecting. Catering very good. Everything went smoothly, no problems.
It is a huge & beautiful place. Peaceful. Allot of different areas for example, RSA, wall memorial area, burial areas, cremation areas & a hill where you can scatter the ashes if you don't want to bury them. Public toilets around area. Crematorium, Chapel, Hall where people can go eat & have tea, coffees. If you want to bring your own food. I recommend this place.
