Fantastic location. Quite a bit more spruced up from previous cafe

After explaining that a piccolo should have just one shot instead of two, the barista made one of the best piccolos I've had in Auckland yet. I know it's supposedly standard practice in NZ to put two shots in coffee but it isn't always necessary and this was made perfectly!
We wanted coffee, and to my wife's horror we had driven past 3 cafes, all due to my inattentiveness. Spottted Meola Kitchen from a distance and blurted "There!" Upon entering my eyes passed a message to the stomach which in turn lurched, causing the inner voice to scream "if you don't order food, you'll pass out!" Such was the array of 'house' made produce, nothing seemd to be from a factory/bakery elsewhere. 'She' opted for a 'to die for' Lemon Curd & Rhubarb brioche, while I went for the delectable savoury (bacon, onion, potato and baby spinach). Needless to say, recipes for brioche and lemon curd were being looked up all the way home. Coffee? I fought the strong urge for a second cup, but only because we behind in time. Definitely one of the best blends in Auckland. (and none of that single shot nonsense) Very friendly staff. Venue clean (not sterile) and airy. Will definitely ,ake an effort to get there again.
Great coffee and service, breakfast burrito kept me going all day
Decent little lunch bar :)
Would have been a 1 star had it not been for the coffee. Bacon was like beef jerky and the rosti was more like last weeks mashed, starchy potato. Shame because it used to be ok.
nice food, very nice
Pretty solid
