I found out about this place from a work colleague. Previously if I had metal I took it across the road to the council run recycling centre. Even if I sorted it and distributed it between all the different piles, council would charge a general rubbish rate, whether by the type of vehicle or weight, whichever is MOST expensive. Why pay to take your metal to the Refuse Centre across the road when you can take it here where they pay you, avoid the queues and maybe even make some money to pay to dispose of the rest of your rubbish.

Con men, deduct weight and change grading depending on how they are feeling on the day, had the manager threating to beat my head in for exposing them & one of the old workers there threatened to crush my m8s van cause he taken a photo of the claw in use ... Disgraceful.

This is our one stop shop for dropping off all our metal recycling. Always helpful and lots of give and take. We often just drop steel for free, to clear the clutter and save our bin space and save the planet! It's only 30 minutes from most of central City to drop a load and get back home again.
