I called Midas Henderson early Wednesday morning desperate to book in a same day pre-purchase inspection for a car I was interested in buying. They managed to squeeze me in at 1pm. Even before I booked in - Mike Senior gave me some great advise over the phone when I was discussing between two separate cars I was looking at . Mike Junior did a great job inspecting the car and showing me exactly what was wrong with it or what needed fixing if I were to buy it. I got some great advise and walked away completely confident in what the car was worth, the risk and what to offer. I really appreciate the attentive service that the whole team gave me (there was another guy who did the fix quote) who was also genuine and as helpful as you could ask for. Thanks a lot :)

Zero Star if possible! The most terrible car repair experience ever! I brought my car to them due to rear brake imbalance which was inspected in VTNZ. It was mainly caused by the leakage of one wheel cylinder. They replaced almost everything of the rear brakes and charged me nearly 500. Then they said they would do some test and broke the bolt of my hand brake cable! Immediately Mike calculated on his paper and let me pay another nearly 300 for a new hand brake cable! He just blamed everything on the age of my car and made no apology at all! After several hours' argument, Mike proposed that I pay around 120 for the cable while they won't charge the labour. Incredibly, when collecting my car, I found that they replaced a second-hand cable instead of a new one and charged me the same price! They quibbled that they couldn't find a new one in New Zealand while Toyota NZ said they did have new cables! Almost no guarantee at all for the old cable but the same price as a new one?! The second-hand cable doesn't fit well and I'm always worrying whether it would be broken anytime. If I had noticed the one star comment from a lady below, I would have never visited this garage. Anyway, I will never ever go there any more!

Went there for WOF service recently. More like a money making business then customer focussed approach. Was given a verbal quote of 320 to fix brake pads upon checking with another certified mechanic in the area got the new wof checked and repair for the same brake pads done just under 150. They really scam you for things you don’t know about. Luckily been in NZ for long time so well aware of the repair and mechanical costs of things around cars. Probably they pick their prey or run like a corporate business to pay off their rent by overcharging customers for simple repairs. Be Alert and vigilant with their pricing. With a customer service staff waited for an hour to get WOF checked for my car pretty ridiculous service time no value of someone waiting at your door when you say that you do your jobs in 30 to 40mins and when came time for billing was ignored while beeing served first in the queue. Would not recommend them anyone. Scammers and buggers.
