I went to service my vehicle. The engine light had recently come on but I needed an oil / filter anyways so went it. Service was friendly and efficient. The test were ran for the light and the mechanic was honest and realistic about how fast I need to fix it and the approximate cost.

1) over priced 2) Try to sell you more then you need 3) terrible customer service 4) Don't actually have a high level of knowledge about what they are doing, seem like the kinda people to "google" a problem. 5) VERY RUDE, booked my car in for 2pm, arrived, got told the "boys" are on a lunch break will be a few more hours" 6) told me they would call if there were problems ( there were problems and had no call until i turned up) PLEASE GO ANYWHERE BUT HERE, you will deal with much nicer people and find the prices way lower. Note: only took it to this place instead of my usual because i needed it done quickly and my usual place is a good 20 min drive, however, i did leave this place empty handed thank god! occurred on 21/03/2018

Brendan and his team are so extremely fantastic. So knowledgeable honest and frank. Brendan has helped me out of bad situations with other panel beaters and fixed dodgy mechanical repairs done by dodgy mechanics. Recently I spent about 4 thousand dollars on mechanical repairs. The car drove like a dream. She's an old girl and now needs an automatic clutch. But because Brendan is so honest, he has told me it's time to let the old girl go. Such a wonderful team out there. So friendly. I live in kohimarama but am so happy to take the drive to mt eden.

Took my car in as it was making a funny noise. I showed the mechanic what area I thought it was coming from (a very obvious loud squealing type of noise). They changed some belts and said it was fixed. I picked it up and found that the noise was still there, so I don't know why they didn't fix the issue. I won't be returning here!

Handed me a bill of over 900 for servicing which included replacement of 3 of my tyres with cheap chinese tyres. Being a complete novice with cars I thought maybe this is what is normally charged but ofcourse I was wrong!

This is a response to the review posted by Nick Wilson. It is unfortunate that Nick has chosen to post this comment given that it was matter that was taken to court and the ruling was passed in favour of Mt Eden Vehicle Care. The vehicle that was bought in for WOF repairs and was not running properly, on closer inspection it was determined the vehicle was involved in an accident and the front bumper had to removed so the headlights could be aligned correctly. Nick was informed of the costs and waited for the work to be completed in the reception area. He left the workshop and agreed to pay at a later date, he then returned for a WOF re-check and a new WOF was issued. On completion of the job we asked for payment and he advised he would do it via online banking. Nick did not pay for the work and upon follow-up said he now disputed the costs and refused to pay anything as he now had his car back. The court found that Nick had agreed to the quote and ordered to pay all costs.
