Myers Park is a wonderful spot to visit if you're looking for some play time for the family or just some outdoor green space to relax in when in the city. The playground itself doesn't provide a lot of shade but the steep, grassed slopes and mixture of large exotic and native trees provide plenty of natural spaces to take cover from the sun. The modern playground has a basket swing, various slides, climbing bars, swings and sculptures to climb and play on. This is a surprisingly quiet park situated within the inner city. You can access the park from Upper Queen Street, Greys Ave, Mayoral Drive or walk through the rear exit of St Kevins Arcade at 183 Karangahape Road.

No water but understand due to shortage. Not easily accessible if u have wheels. Kids 8-11 range found it a bit young. But nice colorful playground with accessible public toilets. Did park behind kindy in the end to lug our picnic!!!

Set in the well maintained beautiful Myers Park, this playground centrally located in Auckland's CBD is well designed and looks fairly new. It includes a good variety of play equipment including standard swings, a popular saucer swing and slides, and is great for all ages. There are lots of benches from where you can sit and watch the kids play, and there are also a water drinking fountain and toilets nearby. What's missing are shade sails to not only protect the kids but also to stop the metal surfaces of the play equipment from becoming too hot to handle and let alone play on.

Such a fun park! Would be great if there was more shade, the metal surfaces became way too hot.

I love the colour, the character and the creativity in the creation of this playground. My daughter calls it the Magical Playground.

Yet another great park in the city. The shade trees complement the park benchs nicely.
